BACHFEST “Ways to Bach” Intro & Who’s Who

“Ways to Bach” Introduction

Our Bachfest series promoted across the season has as its theme “Ways to Bach”, an eclectic mix of recitals & concerts that explore the many avenues in which we can be in touch with the composer’s life-enhancing music:  from Bach on synthesisers by The Art of Moog at the Bach Club’s 10th birthday concert to vintage Bach played exquisitely by Rodolfo and Carole, via  our contribution to the Victoria and Albert 200th and the role Prince Albert played in the often controversial Bach revival in the expansive mood of 19th century Britain.  The Family Concert is the culmination of a special project with St George’s Primary School where in mid-October sessions the pupils will explore the organ at St George’s and learn a Bach chorale for performance in the concert.

Part 2 next spring will continue the theme : A Saturday Bach Club; 7th Bach Singers Prize with Master Classes and our own special showcase with Steinitz Bach Players (SBP).
