The Bachfest Circle

LBS Welcomes you to the Bachfest Circle

The Bachfest Circle is a brand new scheme that enables everyone to support our annual Bach Festival.  At the same time each donor will play a unique role in the development of the London Bach Society as a whole, helping to enhance its profile and role in the community. The Bachfest Circle is an alternative to membership – although Members can also enter the Bachfest Circle.

The Bachfest Circle will enable new artists to appear, support our Education programmes, create opportunity and help us to bring the best Bach performers of today to our platform.

Who can be part of The Bachfest Circle?

The Bachfest Circle is open to everyone and may be entered at any time.

For example, here is The Bachfest Circle who supported Bachfest in 2011:

  • Sir David Tang - in support of 21st Bachfest
  • The Weinberg Foundation – in support of 21st Bachfest
  • LBS Members Circle and Private Donors to the Midsummer Dinner
  • The Estate of the late Miss Hilda Sharpe (former LBS Member)

 The theme will be “About the St. Matthew Passion”

You can help make the London Bach Society’s Bachfest possible by becoming a donor in The Bachfest Circle. We suggest that your donation should be from £250 upwards. Gift Aid will increase the value of your donation by 20% at no extra cost if you are a UK taxpayer. We also like to say ‘thank you’ publicly so, unless you expressly prefer anonymity, we can enter your name(s) in the Bachfest Circle section of our elegant Bachfest Programme Book.

Here are some examples how Gift Aid can increase the value of your Gift: 

  • You give us a donation of £500 and sign a Gift Aid declaration. This will enable us to claim a further £125 making your gift worth £625. 
  • You donate £1,000 and sign a Gift Aid declaration. This will enable us to claima further £250, making your gift worth £1,250.
