Welcome to the London Bach Society

Towards LBS 75th in 2021

How lucky we are in the support we enjoy. Thank you to everyone who has joined us so far on our journey with Bach.

Like so many organisations, London Bach Society does not receive a regular grant from a public authority.  So it is important that we have a constant flow of funds from other sources, mostly private, in order to present and develop our annual programme of work.

Our income comprises ticket sales, donations, grants from charitable trusts, legacies and bequests, Match Funds. Your support really counts. It helps us to make things happen….like the annual Bachfest now in its 28th year, our own period instrument orchestra Steinitz Bach Players founded in 1968 and celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the 18-30 Bach Club for new performers and new audiences, the biennial Bach Singers Prize whose winners are all enjoying successful careers (our next is scheduled for the autumn 2019).   Scroll down for details about our very first Match Fund Campaign that will fund our programme of work for this year. We need just £2,937.50p in Gift Aid donations to achieve our target. For details just scroll down to the next WebPost.

Make Bachfest 2018 your entrée to the LBS. Join us now as we plan ahead to next year, to 2020 and towards the London Bach Society’s 75th Anniversary in November 2021.

We look forward to welcoming you

Margaret Steinitz – LBS Artistic Director & Bachfest Founder
