Trusteeship of the London Bach Society

We are recruiting

Charity Trusteeships are a way of serving the community. They are an exciting and enjoyable opportunity to enable the charity to carry out its purpose, to thrive and ultimately to benefit others. Their regular recruitment is wholly beneficial to the well-being of the London Bach Society, keeps the succession flowing and complements the work of  the serving Trustees.  The quorum we require at meetings is 3, although full attendance is preferred.    Prior knowledge of Bach’s music is not essential, but the acceptance of the Arts, especially music and music education, as integral to the well-being of society in general, is necessary.

Trustees’ active presence at the Society’s public concerts and other events will engage the guests, donors, supporters and audiences further in the work of the London Bach Society and signals support for the performing artists.

Our forward planning includes the celebration of the London Bach Society’s 75th Anniversary in November 2021, the first announcements  for which will be made during 2020 as the Anniversary Campaign gathers momentum.

London Bach Society is a Company Limited by Guarantee with charitable status. As the Society continues to develop, we should like to recruit up to three new Trustees (who are also the Directors of the Company) to join and complement our serving Trustees on the LBS Council. If you are interested, please email us for further details at .  We shall require a detailed CV and the names of two referees and there will be an opportunity for the prospective Trustee to meet serving ones ahead of formal appointment,

We look forward to hearing from you.
